BibleBridge is designed with privacy as a foundational principle. Your Bible study, notes, questions, and personal reflections belong to you. We are committed to collecting the minimum data necessary to provide our Service.

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect minimal information that you voluntarily provide:

• Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter or create an account.
• App store purchase data — we receive confirmation of your subscription or purchase from the App Store or Google Play, but we do not receive or store your payment card information.
• Customer support communications — information you share when contacting us for support.

2.2 Information Processed on Your Device

Your Bible study conversations, AI questions and answers, personal notes, and study history are processed locally on your device. This data is not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share it (e.g., within group study features).

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

We collect limited technical information to operate and improve our Service:

• App usage analytics (e.g., feature interactions, crash reports)
• Device type and operating system version
• Basic app performance data

This information is collected in an anonymized form and cannot be used to identify you personally.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the BibleBridge Service
• To process subscription purchases through the App Store and Google Play
• To send you relevant communications if you have opted in
• To respond to your support requests
• To analyze anonymized usage patterns to enhance app functionality

4. Third-Party Services

BibleBridge integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Apple App Store / Google Play — for processing subscription payments. Payment information is handled entirely by these platforms and is never shared with BibleBridge.
• Resend — for sending transactional emails (e.g., waitlist confirmations). Only email addresses are shared for this purpose.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your study data is stored locally on your device. For any data that is transmitted (e.g., email subscriptions), we use industry-standard encryption in transit. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your email address (if provided) until you unsubscribe or request removal. Anonymized analytics data is retained for as long as necessary for product improvement. Your local device data is retained until you delete the app or clear app data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Deletion — request deletion of your data
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from communications at any time

BibleBridge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

9. On-Device AI Processing

BibleBridge uses on-device AI processing whenever possible. When cloud-based AI processing is needed, your queries are anonymized and immediately deleted after processing. We do not use your study data to train or improve AI models beyond what is necessary to provide you with responses.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email if you have provided one. Your continued use of BibleBridge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
